What the hell was that????

Okay we all see some crazy things on the trail. Things that can't or shouldn't be explained. I am starting a list of things I have seen and wish I didn't. Please feel free to add comments on the things that you have seen on the trail.

So I was on the AT yesterday morning when 4 women passed me going in the other direction. They all had trendy backpacks, but this one women had her cat in a backpack...Crazy I thought....then after

talking with some friends apparently this is a thing. So many questions, what if you fall.??? What if the cat poops? Does the cat like it? Do you take the cat out? Why, please god why?

The other disturbing thing I notice was a couple hiking two miles from the trailhead and the women was wearing heels. They were not high heels, but they were definitely heels. Olay they were not trail shoes or hiking boots. These are somewhat close but not exactly what was on her feet. I wish I had taken a picture of them.

Then my last disturbing sight was three hikers all with umbrellas in the rain. Okay they were day hikers in very casual clothes but umbrellas? When a hike would work just fine. They were planning for rain because they packed them. I guess some people can just pull off that look. I am not one of those people.
